SEMIQUANTITATIVE ANALAYSIS OF GENETIC RESOURCES OF DESI COTION (G. ARBOREUML.)

Abstract

An assessment of potential variability and genetic diversity was
undertaken in the genetic resources of G. arboreum using metroglyph
and hybrid index score technique. The 150 accessions evaluated were
identified into 15 distinct grou~ for economic and morphological characters.
The suitability of the technique for preliminary classification of a large
number of germplasm and classifying them into distinct group for
qualitative and quantitative characters were found effective.
