Abstract
In nutmeg, fruit weight, mace volume and pericarp thickness have direct and kernel volume, mace dry weight and
fruit set have indirect effects on yield. Selection for higher yield should be based on most contributing principal
component fruits/tree, followed by plant girth, canopy spread, fl owers/10cm2, fruit set and fruit weight
