Abstract

The study was conducted for salt tolerance capacity and variability in lentil
germplasm at different levels of salinity. The observations on 60 genotypes
indicated a significant reduction in germination and seedling characters at varying
levels of salt stress upto 16.3 dslm EC. A combination of high germination and
above 1 plumule/radicle ratio can give a criteria for selection of tolerant genotypes.
